Russia and Uzbekistan discussing to enhance trade and economic cooperation

Monitoring Desk–Tashkent: A meeting with the Russian delegation was held at the Uzbek Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade Ministry in Tashkent on September 25.

According to an official statement  issued by press service of the Uzbek Ministry, the Russian delegation was led by the Director of the Department of cooperation with the Customs Union and cooperation with the CIS countries under the Russian Economic Development Ministry, Alexander Cybulski.

The sides discussed the prospects for expanding trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russia and exchanged views on the agenda of the upcoming regular meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation in Tashkent, according to the Uzbek Ministry.

The Uzbek-Russian trade turnover exceeded $8.3 billion last year. Russia takes the first place in foreign trade turnover of Uzbekistan.
