Dushanbe, Tajikistan: Pakistan has taken a right step in right directions while starting fencing its 2,500 km border with Afghanistan while rejecting protest from Kabul to protect its land from terrorists living inside Afghanistan.

Pakistan should have taken this step decades ago since Afghanistan had become “Palace of Terrorists” hailing from all over the world.

It may be mentioned that Pakistan is building 750 border forts along with Durand Line (Линия Дюранда) with an estimate cost of $530 million.

All central Asian countries bordering Afghanistan (Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan) have iron fencing with Afghan border that helps to protect to control infiltration of Afghan people into central Asian states.

Pushtun tribes living at both side of Durand Line protest erection of iron fencing as families are living both side of the borders like many Uzbek families living in Osh area of Kyrgyzstan but Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan manage their borders between them according to international rules and standards. Many Tajik families are living in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan but all three countries fence their borders. Referring Taxkorgan; a Tajik Autonomous County of Kashgar in western Xinjiang, China, report says that large community of Tajik people live in autonomous parts of China and this border has also strong fencing.
