Monitoring Desk: Pakistan and Azerbaijan signed a number of agreements and a “Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership” for maintaining stronger diplomatic relations in future, reports dispatch News Desk news agency.

The Declaration was signed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain when Pakistan-Azerbaijan Business forum was inaugurated in Baku on Thursday which will help promote economies of the two countries.

The inauguration was jointly carried out by President Mamnoon Hussain and his Azeri Counterpart Ilham Heydar Aliyev.

On the occasion, Mamnoon Hussain said that Azerbaijan can benefit from the experiences of Pakistan in different sectors while the Azeri president said that businessmen of his country are interested TO INVEST in Pakistan.

Earlier, the two leaders held a one-on-one meeting in Baku followed by delegation level talks.

During the talks, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to promote bilateral friendship and cooperation between Pakistan and Azerbaijan in diverse field including energy and tourism.

The two countries also signed various agreements. Azerbaijani Ambassador to Pakistan Dashgin Shikarov and the Pakistani Ambassador to Azerbaijan Khalid Usman Qaiser signed the agreement “Extradition of Prisoners.”  Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Rector of Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) University Hafiz Pashayev and Special Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan Amjad Hussain B. Sial signed “Cooperation Program (2015-2017)” between ADA University and Foreign Service Academy of the Pakistan.
