Islamabad, Pakistan: Pak-Tajik Trade and Cultural Festival 2016 will be held from April 7 to 10 in Dushanbe to promote bilateral of Pakistan and Tajikistan.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan, His Excellency Sherali Jononov is busy in showcasing his country in all chambers of commerce and trade of Pakistan to market this event.
Ambassador Sherali Jononov is inviting traders and businessmen from Pakistan to attend Pak-Tajik Trade and Cultural Festival 2016.
He believes that the upcoming Pak-Tajik Trade and Cultural Festival is a good opportunity for people of both the country to meet, interact and expand relations both cultural and commercial spheres.
It may be mentioned that the bilateral trade between Pakistan and Tajikistan is not showing significant increase despite the fact that both the countries are located very close and exchange of goods can be made in very short
time. Pakistan and Tajikistan started their business from $ 15 million in 2011 to $ 89 million in 2014. There is much more scope to enhance the bilateral trade to the tune of $ 500 million.
Improved trade ties between Pakistan and Central Asian State of Tajikistan would allow the South Asian nation to establish itself as a gateway for Central Asian trade and commerce and for increased revenue.
