One killed, 8 injured as series of explosions rock Chinese Communist Party HQ

TAIYUAN: At least one person was killed and eight others injured in a series of explosions which occurred outside a provincial headquarter of China’s ruling Communist Party in the northern city of Taiyuan on Wednesday morning, Dispatch News Desk reported.

Local police said that seven bombs packed with ball bearings exploded at around 07:40 local time in Taiyuan, a city in northern China’s Shanxi province on Wednesday as a result one person was killed while eight others sustained injuries.

Moreover, over 20 vehicles were also damaged by the explosions including the passing buses.

The CCTV footage showed that the explosive devices were planted in roadside flowerbeds.
