Kenyan Election 2013: Violence starts in African country

Intelligence reports indicates that Somali militants has planned to launch attacks and play with long history of tense relations between the tribes of the top two presidential candidates. One policeman was killed early hours.

It may be mentioned that more than 1,000 people were killed in election-related violence during the last elections and terrorism factor was not involved in last elections but this time most dangerous factor is militant groups of Somalia and Mali who are running across the borders to play the situation after attack on Mali militants and terrorists by the French troops.

Near the Somali border, Garissa County Commissioner Mohamed Ahmed Maalim said Sunday that officials intercepted communications that indicated terror attacks were planned, including explosive attacks and kidnappings. “They are planning to interrupt the elections, but we will not allow them do so,” he said.
