India provides $9 Million for a water supply project in Parwan province of Afghanistan

Monitoring Desk: India is funding $9 Million for a water supply project in Parwan province of Afghanistan, reports Afghan official news agency BNA.

The length of the project is 21 km and thickness 116 inch. The project is implemented in Salang district. The sectorial and technical head of Parwan province, Mohammad Zahir Hemmat informed news agency the water of this project is provided from a spring located in Qalatak region of Salang district that is named as Sartekcha and is transferred to Charikar city through a water pipe. It’s planned that after one month, the practical work of this network to begin. Two water reservoirs of drinking water for 6000 cup water would also be built that would supply drinking water round the clock.

It may be mentioned that  70 percent of Charikar citizens are deprived from bygeniec water that with construction of this project the problems of thousands families would remove. People of Charikar are facing with dearth and lack of drinking water and with construction of this project the problems of thousands families would remove continuously in the city. Over 11,000 families are living in Charikar city that majority of them are facing with the shortage of potable water. Not only in the provinces, but in Kabul city too, a number of families are facing with the shortage of drinking water as well. They purchase their drinking water they need daily; especially those families are living on hells and the slope of mountains.
