Russian defence minister Sergey Shoigu reached Pakistan to hold important meetings

Islamabad, Pakistan: The Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu has arrived in Islamabad on Thursday morning to hold important meeting with with his Pakistani counterpart.

 

Pakistan said on Thursday that Russia is a major global player and Pakistan wishes best possible relations with Russia.

According to details, during his visit, the Russian defence minister will hold a meeting with his Pakistani counterpart Khawaja Muhammad Asif and discuss matters related to defence cooperation between Islamabad and Moscow, Dispatch News desk reported.

Meanwhile, in her weekly press briefing in Islamabad on Thursday, the Foreign Offices spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said that Pakistan considers Russia as an important global player which can play a crucial role in the regional stability and development.

The foreign office spokesperson said that Pakistan’s relations with Russia are moving in upward trajectory.

The spokesperson said that Islamabad seeks Moscow’s cooperation for the social and economic development.
